Lucknow – In anticipation of Bakrid (Eid-ul-Zuha) celebrations on Friday, June 7, the Lucknow Traffic Police have announced significant traffic diversions to ensure smooth vehicular movement and law and order around major Eid congregation areas. The diversions will be effective from 6:00 AM until the completion of morning prayers.
These changes primarily affect routes around Tile Wali Masjid and Aishbagh Eidgah, which see massive gatherings for morning namaz.
Key Diversions Around Tile Wali Masjid

Sitapur Road – Pakkapul: No vehicle from Dali Ganj Railway Crossing Tri-junction towards Pakkapul will be allowed. Commuters must detour via Nirala Nagar (Chauraha 8) towards IT Chauraha.

Hardoi Road & Balaganj Area: Heavy vehicles and city buses will be diverted at Koneshwar Chauraha, rerouted via Chowk and Medical College Chauraha.

Rumi Gate/Nimbu Park: No entry towards Bada Imambara and Tile Wali Masjid. Vehicles must take Chowk, Thakurganj, or Charak Chauraha detours.

Shahmina Crossing: No access towards Pakkapul or Tile Wali Masjid. Use alternate routes via Medical College, IT Chauraha, and Daliganj Bridge.

Daliganj Bridge – Sitapur Road-bound traffic: City buses and other vehicles will be rerouted via Purania and Kapurthala.
Key Diversions Around Aishbagh Eidgah

Eveready Tiraha – Mill Area: No commercial vehicles allowed. Use Mawaiya Overbridge or Rajajipuram instead.

Bulaki Adda – Tulsi Das Marg: Only vehicles of those attending prayers will be allowed.

Nakkhas, Yahiyaganj & Moti Nagar Routes: Multiple roads including those from Rakabganj Pul, Anjuman Chauraha, and S.N. Mishra Gate will have restricted entry towards the Eidgah.

Rajendra Nagar, Pilli Colony & Baboolal Halwai Area: Traffic will not be permitted to approach the Eidgah via internal or feeder roads.
